Step into Sofitel Luang Prabang, a luxury heritage hotel nestled in the heart of this UNESCO-listed town. At our Governor’s Grill restaurant, you can enjoy the Heritage Hue Afternoon Tea. This seasonal menu highlights Lao cuisine with local flair and colonial charm.

This limited-time experience celebrates wild mushrooms, which grow naturally during the monsoon season in Luang Prabang. Each dish reflects rich regional flavors and uses these fresh ingredients. For example, try Mok Hed—wild mushrooms and herbs steamed in banana leaf—and Larb Pet, a zesty duck salad. You can also enjoy Num Wan Salee, a comforting Lao dessert made with coconut milk, tapioca, and local corn.

To complete your experience, we serve Lao herbal infusions such as lemongrass & mint or pandan & ginger. All of this takes place in the peaceful setting of the former French Governor’s mansion.
