Governor’s Grill at Sofitel Luang Prabang presents a Farm to Table theme with a Lao twist on its creations.
All of our ingredients and food products, such as the feta from the Buffalo Dairy farm, vegetables from nearby organic farms, and sausages from a local German Butcher are locally sourced. Savour the local Laotian flavors with local favorites, such as the cold Watercress soup, Chicken liver terrine with Lao rum, preserved Longan, or classic dishes such as Tenderloin and Burger – both offered in the Western or Lao fusion style.

To further integrate the concept with the name of our esteemed venue, The Governor’s Grill, Sofitel Luang Prabang hosts a grilling station where chefs sizzle right in front of you. The baby pork ribs with pickled garlic, free-range pork chop, or whole Mekhong river fish wrapped in banana leaves are among many specialties to discover. Vegetarian and Vegan dinners are also catered for with choice and variety of options including a grilled eggplant dip.
When it’s time for dessert, you’ll see the local Lao flavors reflected in sweet, yet delicate sensations. Several of our specialties include the Lao “Phou-Piang” coffee crème brûlée, lime fruit tart, seasonal fruit dessert infusions, and passion coulis.
